Healthy Employees Reduce Cost

Keeping healthy employees healthy is the best opportunity for companies to slow the rising cost of health insurance. Identifying the main drivers of health care costs is the second step to slowing the rise. Gulf Power is an example of a regional company that understands the value of ongoing employee wellness education. The presentation will be a case study of how Gulf Coast Medical Center and three other HCA Panhandle hospitals partnered with Gulf Power to identify employee risks for four of the main drivers of health care costs – diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and emotional health.
